Make them last

The braid care kit

Most braids that frizz early just need a satin wrap at night and a light scalp oil twice a week. These are the four things Simone tells every client to keep at home.

Satin bonnet

Stops friction frizz overnight. Get the extra-large size for long braids.

Lightweight scalp oil

A few drops on the parts keep itch and flaking down without buildup.

Questions clients ask

Before you come in

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, Monday to Saturday. Shorter styles like cornrows, flat twists and up-dos are easiest to fit in. For micro braids, invisible braids or long knotless, call ahead so Simone can save enough time for you.

What are your hours?

Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm. We're closed on Sundays. Call or text (719) 551-1159 to check today's openings. For long styles, arrive early in the day so there's time to finish.

How long do braids last?

Four to six weeks for most styles, up to eight with a satin bonnet at night and a light oil on the scalp. Leaving them in much longer can strain your edges and cause matting at the root.

Do I need to wash my hair first?

Yes. Come with hair washed, fully detangled and blow-dried straight. It shortens your appointment and gives a neater finish. If you can't, ask for the wash add-on.

Do you braid kids' hair?

Yes. Kids 12 and under get kids' pricing. We go at their pace, and short breaks are fine. A parent or guardian stays for the appointment.

Will braids damage my edges?

Not when they're done with the right tension and size. Simone keeps the hairline braids slightly larger and lighter. If your scalp hurts after the first day, let her know.
