Cornrows & Feed-Insin Spanaway, WA
Clean straight-backs, feed-in braids that start thin and build up full, or a pattern that's all your own. Cornrows are the quickest way to look sharp for weeks, and they're Simone's favorite for walk-ins.
- Starting at$90
- Time in chair1.5–4 hrs
- Lasts2–4 wks

Three ways to wear them
Straight-back, feed-in or designed
Straight-back cornrows run from your hairline to the nape in neat, even rows. They're quick, classic and great under a wig or for the gym.
Feed-in braids start small at the hairline and get fuller as Simone feeds extension hair in. You get a natural-looking start with no bulky knot, and the braids can end in a ponytail, a bun or hang long.
Designer cornrows curve, zig-zag or swirl into patterns. Bring a photo or let Simone freestyle. Add color like burgundy or purple and they really stand out.

Questions people ask
Cornrows FAQ
How long do cornrows last?
Two to four weeks for most people. Feed-ins with extension hair usually last closer to four weeks. Straight-backs with just your own hair may need redoing sooner, especially if you work out a lot.
How much are cornrows in Spanaway?
At Simone's, straight-back cornrows start at $90, men's cornrows at $70 and feed-ins at $110. Designs and extra length add a little. Text a photo for an exact price.
What's the difference between cornrows and feed-in braids?
Regular cornrows are often braided with your own hair or added at the start. Feed-ins add extension hair gradually, so each row starts thin and natural at the hairline and gets fuller as it goes.
Can I walk in for cornrows?
Yes. Cornrows are the easiest style to fit in as a walk-in, Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm.
Do cornrows hurt?
They shouldn't. A little snugness the first day is normal, but real pain, a headache or bumps along the hairline mean they're too tight. Tell Simone during the appointment and she'll ease up.
Do you braid men's hair?
Yes. Simone does men's cornrows, two-strand twists and box braids.
Make them last
Aftercare at home
- Wear a durag or satin scarf at night to keep the rows flat and neat.
- Oil between the rows lightly, two or three times a week.
- Use a little edge control only if you want, and wipe off buildup.
- Rinse after sweating and let your scalp dry fully.
- Take them down gently and wash and condition before the next style.
